Pixel Transition

A stunning WebGL shader effect that transitions between two images using a pixelated distortion grid.

Quick Actions
CLI Installation
npx kinetic-ui-cli@latest add pixel-transition

The PixelTransition component uses React Three Fiber and custom GLSL shaders to create a mesmerizing hover effect. When hovered, the first image breaks apart into a grid of pixels to reveal the second image underneath, a signature effect seen on top-tier Awwwards portfolios.

  • Damped interpolation minimizes paint-redraw flashes.
  • Tree-shakable import: only compiles elements requested.
Accessibility Notes
  • Full keyboard focus-ring navigation support (`Tab`/`Shift+Tab`).
  • ARIA roles mapped correctly for assistive screen readers.
  • Respects `prefers-reduced-motion` system toggles.
